Halloween Carving Contest

My entry for the 2010 Halloween Carving Contest.

Been rolling this idea around in my head for a week or so. I'm fascinated lately with the Day of the Dead masks and it seemed appropriate for Halloween.

Took me around an hour for the carving.

I forgot to mention that here in Mexico the base for the 'calaveritas' is the 'Catrina'

cool idea! goes great with a pumpkin. :) I have a pseudo day of dead drawing I did. skull + decor + flowers is an interesting subject to render.
